Gavin Ward is a Raleigh County native. He graduated from Independence High School, Concord University, and West Virginia University College of Law. 

It was in law school that he discovered his love for property law, and in 2016 opened the Ward Law Office PLLC, which mainly focused on property law. The firm has evolved to focus on other areas of law, but still has a strong focus on property and real estate law. 

Gavin previously worked for the Law Office of Stephen P. New as an associated attorney. Also serves as legal counsel for the City of Beckley and the Beckley Sanitary Board. 

In his spare time, he is involved in the West Virginia Fairs and Festival industry. He is a former President of the West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals and is a volunteer with Beckley Events. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Beckley Area Foundation, West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals, and the Beckley Salvation Army. Gavin attends Faith Community Church in Beckley, West Virginia. Gavin also enjoys playing softball and watching College sports and Major League Baseball.
